  • Although the cap for the price of each question is $200, I am offering $1,000 to anyone who can actually find me a work a real work at home job.
I am not looking for a start your own business. I am not looking for a website to show where to appply. I am not looking for someone to say they can get me a job someowhere besides online. I am not looking for someone to show me freelance work.
I am looking for a full time position that you can guarantee I will get. Once I get the job, you can basically garnish my wages for the $1,000. In fact, who knows, maybe I will even give $2,000, depends on how fast you can get the real work at home job. $1,000 is the minimum. Also, I can pay you cash and won't send you any tax liabilities from this cash I give to you; it will go straight into your pocket, no questions asked.
Please do not waste my time with links, tips, or hints. I want results and I will pay you for them.
    Thank you.

  • Google Answers Researchers cannot accept cash payments from customers. To do so would be to violate our contracts, and a Researcher who did such a thing would almost certainly lose his or her researching privileges.

  • bkaufmann -

Not for nothing, but have you ever contemplated applying to become a researcher for Google Answers?

  • It doesn't matter how much you offer, nobody can guarantee you "a full time position that you can guarantee I will get."

  • Farmers don't have much of a commute. Do you happen to live on a farm?

Between the willingness to bend the rules and dodge taxes, I think you could have a shot at Randy "Duke" Cunningham's old job.
A meth lab can be run without much commuting save the occasional trip out for Nyquil and DryGas. Or is it Dayquil and Drano? Brake fluid? Something like that. You'd be self-employed, set your own hours, and meet a variety of unusual characters not usually seen in the tourist brochures (except those of Detroit and Baltimore).
A pot greenhouse is also a home-grown job. *snicker*

Bordellos are highly popular, I expect. Not with the neighbors, of course.

I don't suppose there is a lot of money in it, but a serial killer could work from home like Jeffrey Dahmer did. That's more of a hobby thing, though.
Hey, I'm just thinking outside the box!

  • One thing I have been wondering is why couldnt a person sell parts from home for a car or heavy equipment company? Everything is done on the computer now anyway, why would someone have to physically come in to the store. You would have to have at least the shipping.receiving folks there and enough counter personnel to handle those coming into the store but everything else to include inventory, parts manuals and placing an order could be done online. The only thing you would have to develop as the manager would be some metrics to measure if the work at home employee is worth the effort. I would think number of line items ordered, total dollar amount and total number of calls over a given period of time would suffice. Plus I could hire that person anywhere in the country or the world. The only downside is you cannot physically check the inventory to see if it is off or you cant have someone with more knowledge come over and help you if you needed.
Can you use the internet quickly? Are you familiar with parts? We could try this. Another benefit to me as the manager is I wouldnt have to pay you as much and I dont think I would have to pay benefits either.
This would be good for someone whose spouse has benefits. Just a thought.

    ---------------

As you can see I specifically stated, I did not want to be pointed into a direction of employers. I was specifically looking for a job offer, someone who could say yes, I have an online job for you. I stated I did not want the researcher to point me in a direction of an online site where to apply. I stated this very clearly. This researcher did not do any work that I wanted. I intentionally posted a high amount for a researcher to find this valuable information; information that has not been posted. I want a full refund, less of course the $.50 and I want to delete this post. This researcher has not given me the information I specifically asked for. If there are any questions, please feel free to email me or call me; thank you.

  • pinkfreud: alright, well then I would make 5 additional posts for the same need and pay $200 each time. you will get your $1,000 minimum.
    garby: yes.

I look forward to the work at home, telecommute job!

  • Dear BKaufmann,

As people have already told you, almost any kind of job (OK, not a flight attendant) could be done at home: lawyers, accountants, computer programmers or bakers are only few among those who could make a lot at home. For example, if you take a short course of coding or baking pies for coffee shops in your area, you can offer your services and make very good living out of it. All of this is not said in order to aggravate you - I realize that you haven't meant "any" kind of job - you're obviously not a GP, a lawyer, or a programmer, or you would have said so.
The kind of job that was offered by ckrebehenne-ga, and that you've thought positively of, is actually possible, and one needs minimal training and equipment to do it. WillowCSN is a company that employs thousands of Americans in call centre ? from home (just like the one that was offered in the comment), and offers vacancies in Iowa as well: WillowCSN

Their hourly rate, they claim, is $10-$14 an hour. They do require training beforehand, and only if you pass the training, you can work for them. However, I have found no complaints (at the BBB or in general) that might indicate that it is a scam, where one pays for ?training? but never receives the goods. On the contrary ? I?ve found articles describing this kind of ?Homesourced? call-centre.
O?Currance also offers a ?work from home? scheme for office workers. Here is their employment/vacancies page: O?Currance

A similar service looking for agents is West.
West ? Work at Home Agent

Unlike Willow, they do not require (at least not in their explanations), some training. However, you are completely independent in this scheme, and they do not ensure hourly wages. They write that ?The standard per minute rate is $.17 per minute?. That is about $10 an hour.
Similarly, LiveOPs offers such a job for agents, as contractors. They claim that agents make ?up to $15 an hour? (they do not say what is the minimum wage!) and that some make $3,000 a month.

?If you have experience in processing payroll, or you have worked with bills of lading in shipping and receiving? ARO is looking for such people for home-based work: Auditors needed for a division of ARO, VTAudit

Finally, CIBERsits also offers telecommute jobs:
    CIBERsites
    < http://www.cibersites.com/>

After reviewing these type of jobs ? from companies that actually recruit in your area ? the ball is in your hands. Quite frankly, call centre and virtual office jobs are not the ?best earning? jobs out there; just as most secretaries make much less than most computer programmers in the non-telecommuting world. Therefore, you might want to reconsider ? maybe you can teach yourself some required skill (programming/coding, for example) ? and earn much more from home.

  • bkaufmann-ga,

I might be able to get you a work-at-home job as a computer programmer, but only if you...ummm...know computer programming.
How about giving us an idea of your skills and experience, so we can have some idea of what's practical.
    Thanks,

    pafalafa-ga

  • correct and I specifically stated that I wanted someone to guarantee me a position, and I stated in my initial post that I did not want someone to point me in the direction of where people are hiring and/or training individuals. this is again information that I cannot find useful.

  • Dear Bkaufmann,
Now I am really baffled. This is not your first question on Google Answers, which means that you are familiar with the nature of this venue. This is not a job board, where you?d post your request and miraculously some employer would show up and take you ? it is a research service, where Researchers collect and analyse information for you. A Researcher cannot guarantee that a job would be provided, especially not for someone who did not disclose their qualifications, and that after several times that they have been asked to do it. An employer might guarantee a job, but they?d do it if they know the person or have any basis to be sure that this person is the right person for the job. This would not exist in Internet jobs ? because this kind of trust is based on acquaintance. On the other hand, a Researcher can give you, just like I have just given you, a list to places where it is guaranteed, that if you applied, you?d be seriously considered despite your lack of qualifications on the face of it. This is as far as a guaranteed job as one can get.

  • Finding work for you would be a lot easier if you told us what skill (marketable skills) you have. Also telling us what kind of training and/or experience you have would also help. Another thing to consider is 'what' it is that you would 'love to do'. Hope this gets your question answered faster and more satisfactorily.
    -womanwriter-

  • Again, this is not the answer I am looking for. I specifically stated what I was not looking for and this is what you have posted. This information is not useful at all.
    Thanks.

  • there is a great company based in colorado that allows people to work from their home called alpine access. they are continually at the top of the heap of best colorado-based companies and fast-growing. i'm not sure if you have to live in colorado but i do know that they have many full-time work at home employees. as you will see, that is what their biz is all about. check it out at www.alpineaccess.com
    worth a shot...

  • womanwriter: I am interested in some type of telcommute, data entry, remote customer service representative, pretty much any type of work at home job, but again, not a work at home start your own business or similar pie in the sky, i want something of immediate value.
research_help-ga: certainly not, however, if you know of someone who hires these remote positions, you could certainly tell them about me and then of course once I get myself the position, you would still be entitled to your finder's fee.
markvmd-ga: hahahaha, i literally laughed out loud when i read your post. not exactly interested in those types of positions.
ckrebehenne-ga: i checked their site and they are only hiring in 4 states currently, none of them being iowa. but this is exactly the type of position i am looking for!
cynthia-ga: thank you for the reply. i am glad you are interested in helping me along with several others. i would then be offering a tip to allow the person who can find me this position a full $1000, whatever it takes. also, i know some about computers, i am not a computer technician, but I certainly know enough to discuss them and fully operate them. i have extensive communication skills. as far as monetary requirements, i would really need to take a look at the positions, its offering, the company and its future growth potential for me. i look forward to your research findings! talk with you soon.

  • bkaufmann,

    Consider this:

Researchers get 75% of the offered dollar amount, and get 100% of the "tip."

Beyond that, determining how to pay is moot at best right now, because the question you have asked is very difficult to answer. However, I can assure you, with the amount you are offering, you have several people trying to assist you. As for myself, I have been thinking about it on and off since yesterday.
I do have a couple ideas, although I don't know how to break into the field. Would being employed "on-call" qualify as an answer?
How much money do you need to make?
What do you know about computers?

  • Any kind of work..?
